Birthday plans
Age is the one thing that increases without you having to spend anything. I don’t have any plans this year, though. Shilpa has a surprise for me, which I’m looking forward to. I was supposed to be in the US today, but I cancelled my trip to celebrate my birthday here.
Acting his age
As a hero grows older, he becomes more mature.
1x1 polls
But a lead actor should always look good, irrespective of his age. Looking young is my job, it’s like an investment for me. That’s what Gen Now looks for, so I should live up to their expectations. And an actor’s remuneration doesn’t increase as he gets older. His pay increases if he’s in demand.
No boundaries
It’s good for an actor to have his own production house. You aren’t limited by boundaries then; you can experiment with films you might not have been able to do otherwise. Right now, our plan is to do one film a year that will have me in the lead. If I come across a script that I’m not suitable for, we might get another actor.

My wife, the producer
Right now, Shilpa is gaining experience in the production aspect of film-making. She’s also interested in direction, but she won’t get into that right now because I want her to specialise in that field before she gets behind the camera. My wife is intelligent and she can do it. I’ll be the happiest husband if my wife directs a film of mine.
Boy next door
The audience likes my boy-next-door image. I was an ordinary person who became a film star; people have seen my growth in the industry. They always see something in me that they don’t see in other actors.
Work is my friend
I can’t spend as much time with my friends as I used to. I have an audience to entertain and I have my career to look after. But I make sure that I meet up with my classmates every six months and spend time with them. Right now, work is my friend.
